SUMMER SESSIONS ON LOGAN SQUARE

Summer Sessions on Logan Square is a free concert series that takes place at the Illinois Centennial Monument in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago.

The series was started in 2009 by Logan Square residents as a way to bring the neighborhood together around a diverse array of accessible music provided by local groups.

Homeroom is excited to partner with the Whistler to present two concerts on July 27th and August 24th.

The lineup on July 27 includes Deep Sleep, the UnGnomes and Angela James.

Deep Sleep is an electro, dream pop outfit with intricate beats and washed-out melodies perfect for lounging at a picnic.

The UnGnomes combine humor and political/social commentary with punk angst and energy.

Angela James’ songs recall the Nashville country of Patsy Cline with the wistful melodies of her voice soaked in reverb against a melancholy slide guitar.
