Grun-Tu-Molani
Grun-Tu-Molani performs and composes music with rock forms and rhythms but by using jazz approaches to melodic and harmonic development. Sonic spaces and modes are explored with layered harmonies and textures while an unfaltering beat shapes and drives the music. Trumpet and Rhodes organ carry much of the melody in what could be described as ‘minimalist fusion’ as Grun-Tu-Molani travels the paths blazed by “Bitches Brew” and Isotope 217.
