Noisivelvet Brings Live Cinema to Art on Track 9/22
Noisivelvet is working with the Waltzing Mechanics and The Cinema Culture to present the live production and recording of EL Stories: Art on Track. In addition to the audience getting a live viewing of a mobile stage production of the Waltzing Mechanics smash hit “EL Stories”, they get a chance to be an extra in the movie being shot by The Cinema Culture.
You might remember noisivelvet from their mobile garden at the 2011 Art on Track. With the help of friends and sponsors, noisivelvet was able to transform a CTA train car into a luscious garden that brought many a smiles to Chicagoans and beyond, all while encouraging attendees to consider urban gardens.
Art on Track (AoT) is the world’s largest mobile art gallery. AoT takes place on board a moving six-car CTA train where each train car is given over for free to a different local artist or arts group to curate. Audiences are invited to board the train and view the artwork and tickets are available through their web site: http://www.builtontrack.com/ or at one of the AoT special Blue Line stops:
Logan Square, Damen, Clark and Lake, UIC-Halsted.
AoT participating artist groups: CMYKittens, House of Frog, Chicago Design Musuem, T.A.R.T., Gallery B.1.e., and noisivelvet.
